The Power Of Pop Art

A number of the most nicely-recognized artists of the Pop Art phenomenon, corresponding to Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg, were born in the 1920's which was a boom time within the USA with money to spare and jazz music starting to make it is mark. But in 1929 the inventory market crashed and the US entered a depression that lasted till the mid-1930. Maybe probably the most well-known of all pop artists, Andy Warhol, was born at the beginning of that depression.

Other widespread themes in Pop Artwork were comedian books and the well-known people of that period akin to Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, who will likely be forever related to Warhol's work. Andy Warhol used display screen printing techniques for his work and usually made several copies of the same image.

The Art Noveau movement had a gifted ambassador in Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt. The Kiss is one of the most reproduced images in the world. Other prints include The Tree of Life, Mother and Child and The Three Ages of Women. Impressionism is another movement that still resonates today and Claude Monet art prints are particularly popular. Water Lilies and Poppies are familiar works. Monet was well traveled and his Sunset in Venice is a fine example of his foreign excursions. When he was home in Giverny in France, he often painted his garden as in Le Pont Japonaise a Giverny.

But what the artists sought to focus on was the best way well-known people have been treated as objects in the same manner as merchandise were in promoting with all sense of their individuality removed. Though many pop artists had been unwilling to present meaning to their work, and even those who posed questions with their art, left those self same questions unanswered. Jasper Johns, famous for his sequence of paintings displaying the American flag, famously questioned whether or not his personal work was artwork or only a flag.

On account of its affiliation with celebrities and well-known icons and objects, in style artwork began to develop into more glamorous and refined over the years. Although it was mass produced and did not value much, it did handle to capture important adjustments in culture and society.

Just because the world by which we dwell is endlessly different, so Pop Artwork used a wide range of strategies however the frequent characteristics that define works as Pop Art are as follows: Graphic Model: Clearly defined shapes and colors with hard edges such because the Roy Lichtenstein comic book kinds and David Hockney's works.
