Ways Of Identifying Great Luxury Apparel

By Shirley Wright

Low-quality clothes might seem to be saving you a lot of money by their implications are often so much. In most cases, they pill, fade and would fall apart within just a single season. In the long run, you will find yourself spending more on the cheap clothes that you could have spent on expensive, high-quality clothing. Sometimes, it is better to shop smart and avoid cheap clothes that would not last and would only require you to replace them every time and then. To avoid such a situation, buying luxury apparel, though expensive, can save you the trouble.

Clothes that have metal zippers are often of good quality. If you have a choice between clothes that have plastic zippers and those that have metal zippers, it is always advisable to choose the latter. They usually last longer without putting you in a situation where you have to replace your zipper some times in the future. Metal zippers rarely breakdown.

Quality clothes often have spare buttons. Therefore, if you are making your selection and you want to determine if the cloth is of high quality or not, just look if it has spare buttons. A cloth that has spare buttons shows that the designer trusted that it would last long enough to need spare buttons. That is why such designers include the extra buttons.

Labels say so much about the quality of a garment. A garment's fabric content means so much to fashion lovers, and the material used to create a garment can make all the difference on a user's buying decision. Even though many fashion enthusiasts lean on the side of clothes made from fibers extracted from animals and plants, wool and cotton, synthetic is slowly taking over.

Check the stitches to see if they are strong. Strong stitches show that the garment is created to last and would, therefore, mean that it is of high quality. Such garments often have double stitches, one sewn on the other to complement it. To test the strength of the seam, you can grab the cloth on each side of a seam and tug tightly to see how well it holds the garment together.

A well-cut garment is a good quality garment. Some designers, in an attempt to spend less to produce a garment, use less material than should be the case. This results in them creating low-quality clothes that would not stand the test of time. Likewise, it may result in too-short sleeves or uncomfortably short inseams.

The quality of buttons and buttonholes are often easy to tell. You can tell a lot about the quality of a garment by the quality of its buttons and the structure of its buttonholes. If the holes have sloppy stitches or loose threads, then you should be wary of the quality of the whole garment.

High-quality thread is easy to identify. You just have to look closely to examine the size, material, and grip to determine its quality. When a thread that has excellent quality is used to sew the garment together, its chances of lasting for long is very high. Such garments are durable and do not wear off easily.
