Knowing About Old Mystery TV Shows

By Karina Frost

Every young person around should take the time to watch "Remington Steele, " "Simon and Simon, " "McMillan & Wife, " "Mrs. Columbo, " "Columbo, " "Nancy Drew, " "The Hardy Boys" and "Murder She Wrote." Americans realize that these are the old mystery tv shows that were produced many years ago.

"Simon and Simon" was quite unique since it centered on the relationship between two siblings who were also detectives. All of the female fans loved to watch the younger brother since he was so handsome and kind. The older brother seemed to be more gruff and always had a bad attitude. These two boys loved their mother very much and she liked to help them with their current cases.

"Murder She Wrote" was on the air for many years and it featured an older woman who enjoyed solving crimes. She was very much like Ms. Marple in the Agatha Christie books. The main character was quite smart and no killer could ever get the best of her. In the end she would always have the murderer arrested and sent off to prison for their dastardly crime.

Younger people growing up in the 80's loved to watch the very handsome detective named "Remington Steele." Remington was a fictional character which a woman made up in order to gain clients. She was not doing so great as a solo female private investigator since many men did not take her seriously. Once she introduced the charming Mr. Steele her business immediately took off. He was a real human being who would laugh, cry and even fumble cases from time to time.

Everyone around knows that "The Hardy Boys" brought any party to life since they were so musically talented. Joe Hardy would sing while his brother Frank took the time to romance all of the hot young girls that were around. After this was over the two of them would try to solve various mysteries that went on around their hometown. Love and romance was always in the air whenever these two dashing young men appeared.

A woman called "Nancy Drew" is also the perfect crime solver who also had a program during this time period. Unfortunately Nancy had to fight off fake ghosts, demons and other monsters during her time as a detective. It was fortunate that her good friend was also around to lend a helping hand when things got out of control.

"Columbo" is one great detective that people everywhere admired. He loved to play games with the killers who were introduced on his program each week. Mr. Columbo would wait for the right moment in order to let these people fall into a wicked trap. Throughout this program he liked to eat and drink with his suspect before making them admit to their crimes.

"Mrs. Columbo" was very young and beautiful but she did not have the same appeal as her television husband. Even though she was related to the great Columbo viewers were not interested in her crime solving abilities and they quickly turned her program off after one season.
